Technology Education

Technology in our modern world will likely continue to change and become more important for everyone. ETAG’s free Volunteer Technology Education Program ensures that seniors in the communities we serve receive the help with technology they need to feel comfortable and confident using it.

From learning how to use a computer and the Internet to sending emails and looking at photos of family on Facebook, ETAG’s volunteers have the knowledge and skills needed to help curious seniors understand “the basics”.

Working in collaboration with our community partners, the Volunteer Technology Education Program is available weekly in multiple centres throughout the Halton and Peel regions. Bring in your own device and use free Wi-Fi or borrow a computer at the centre. The program’s 3 stage curriculum is designed to help people learn to use any brand of laptop, tablet, and smartphone. Graduates receive a Certificate of Success in recognition of their learning achievements.
